A quick reminder to all who attend the classes in Werribee/Hoppers Crossing – due to a grading on Thursday, 24 November, there will be NO adult class that evening at 7pm at the Crossroads Church hall venue.
Only those who have been advised by Sifu Wong should be attending that night.
Apologies for any inconveniences caused; we thank you for your attention to this matter.
The Qian Li Dao Academy will be a featured part of this year’s Kookaburra Festival in Wyndham, on Friday, 27 September – Grand Final Eve Day. This public holiday festival will begin at 12 noon, running until 5 pm at the Wyndham Park Community Centre, 55 Kookaburra Av, Werribee.
We will kick off the stage performances at 1pm, with a dragon dance by members of our performance troupe, and will also do a kung fu demonstration later in the day. The Academy will also have a marquee and booth for information at the event.
A special Kookaburra Festival offer will run in conjunction with this event. If you book and take a FREE trial lesson with us, no later than 17th October, you could get your 1st year’s membership fee waived* (T’s & C’s apply*). That’s a potential savings of up to $100!
Whether you attend the Festival or not, mention this offer and trial a FREE lesson by Thursday, 17 October and you too could save yourself some money and enjoy the benefits of training kung fu at the Qian Li Dao Academy.
Food stalls, an animal farm and other stalls and activities will be there – it’s a family friendly event, so come on down! Hope to see you there!
Cold, freezing winds and wet, blustery squalls followed me from Melbourne to Wellington, NZ as I crossed the Tasman to work with my good friend and student, Stu Dunn, and our Kiwi brothers and sisters.
Despite the frigid conditions, we forged ahead, merging some Filipino blade and stick drills with our Wing Chun concepts to play new energy lines in our training. These put the participants into places they wouldn’t normally find themselves in under “normal” Chi Sao conditions. The result: made them have to work out how to keep going to get themselves back to a position of being able to get back into the game. Before the workshop was done, we were all rockin’ and rollin’.
Great efforts from all at Qian Li Dao Academy NZ; it was fantastic to spend the weekend with you again. Train hard and work with each other, much progress was made so let’s build on it for next time! See some of the highlights in the gallery below.
