Coronavirus Lockdown Reimposed

Due to the recent spikes in positive Covid-19 cases arising in and around Melbourne, Victorian Premier Dan Andrews has reimposed Stage 3 lockdown restrictions in the metro-Melbourne area for the next six weeks, beginning from midnight, Wednesday 8 July.

Given that, the Academy will NOT be reopening classes as planned for next week in compliance with the most recent events that we’re all dealing with.

Please check in here on our website, or on our Facebook page, for any amendments, changes and/or updates concerning the Academy and its planned re-opening when virus restrictions may ease. In the meantime, we hope all of our students, friends and supporters, here in Melbourne and around the globe keep well and stay safe.

Resumption of Classes

Covid-19 Update – 1 July 2020 – Despite current hot spot lockdowns in Victoria, at the present time, the Victorian government has still targeted full-contact training for adults to resume as from Monday, 13 July. If nothing changes between now and then, the Academy will be resuming classes again for both children and adults. There will be some obvious changes – temperature check-in on arrival, plenty of hand sanitizing before, during and after training, cleaning of common areas before and after training, and still some social distancing between pairs and other safety procedures. We are also beginning a new financial year, so everyone’s membership fees are due this month, if you are planning to resume training going forward. For those in Werribee/Hoppers Crossing, a new fee schedule (that was emailed to you earlier) is going into effect. Please make your arrangements accordingly in the next week, thanks. Fingers crossed, looking forward to getting back to seeing and training with you again soon. Stay tuned to this page and/or our Facebook club page for any updates/changes to the Academy resuming and any further Covid-19 restrictions. 😊🙏🙏
